Guerlain is one brand that I relate to romanticism. They do have some kind of magical charm which entices their customer into a luxurious divinity. So I thought of using some of Guerlain products to make this look amazing. I have reviewed the Le 2 Couleurs in Two Extravagant and thats the eyeshadow duo I am going to use today.
Its the easiest look to think of and lets see how to do it.............
Conceal the under eyes to get rid of any darkness and tiredness in the eye area. This is also a crucial step as it balances the whole makeup look.
Prime the lids with LORAC Behind the Scenes eyeshadow primer and then use MAC Pro Longwear Paint pot in Layin' Low as an extra priming base to neutralize the lid color. The eyeshadows look even more solid when done so.
Trace the upper and lower lash lines with Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Pencil in Black.
Quickly smudge the waterproof pencil before it sets with a pencil brush like MAC 219. From the outer corners drag a bit of the color in the outer crease. Since we are using only one color this does add a little definition where required.
From the Guerlain Two Extravagant Duo eyeshadow, apply the camel brown on the outer corners and start blending the color in the crease. Blend towards the brow bone to get a cascade of color instead of a cut crease.
Smoke out the camel brown on the lower lids. If gone lower ever so slightly, this look does give that 'opium den effect', a look inspired from the works of Charlotte Tilbury.
Apply some more camel brown to the crease to create definition. Its always good to look back and look again to gauge how much color you'd need.
From the Two Extravagant Duo, apply the zesty green shimmery eyeshadow on the upper lids, centre of the lower lid and in the inner corners to create a scintillating sheer translucency effect.
Apply a bit more of this amazing zesty green shimmer to a sparkling glow to the eyes. Trace the inner rims with YSL Desin Du Regard pencil no.02 Leather Brown and the eyes look magical.....
Tame the brows and fill them with Elizabeth Arden Brow powder in Brunette. Curl the lashes with Shiseido Eye lash curler and apply lashings of Guerlain's Cils D'Enfer mascara get those fluttery, fanned out and yet defined lashes.
To compliment this look, I opted for more of beige and brown tones. Thence contour the cheek bones with Benefit Hoola Bronzer, fill in Clinique Fresh Bloom in Almond Blossom Blend on the cheeks (as a blush) and highlight with Chanel Joues Contraste blush in Orchid Rose (ever so slightly). For the lips, choose a shimmery yet long lasting lipstick like Guerlain's Kiss Kiss Lipstick in Sweet Beige. And voila! you're ready.
